This rainy September day had nothing on us! Ceremony in a big downtown church followed by reception in the country. The bridal party was a hoot. They were so much fun. Before I left the best man asked me to take a picture of him doing leap frog over the bride... so I giggled and followed him to the dance floor.. I couldn't believe what I saw.. yep, right over the top of her head! I think she was a bit surprised too. By the end of the night the groom's friends were in the pond, fully dressed in rented suits. I'd say they know how to have a good time.

This rainy day spoiled nothing, with a little hustle.....myself, the florist and the girls with all occasions catering washed and moved chairs, set up a ceremony site under the veranda. All our hard teamwork paid off. It was a spectacular wedding at Sonnenberg once again. It was so much fun running around getting everything in order. All occasions catering really has the best food ever. It is so tasty and one of my favorites by far! Jen and Mike are the nicest people you will ever meet. So sweet and so sincere. Loved this one.

The pictures were fabulous!!! I truly loved them and they brought back many memories of the day. I cannot express my gratitude to you for all you have done and how you made our memories so true to heart and real. I am very glad you were there and able to be a part of the day, you helped make it the special day it was!! I will admit, I cried at the first viewing. A wonderful way to spend my 35th birthday. This is the classic couple. High school sweethearts, rich with family tradition and love.... So many wonderfully kept memories and deep roots. The brides dress was worn by her great grandmother and her mother... with this crazy world we live in, I left with a sense of what was real again and it brought back even a little more faith in family, the test of time, and love... (and I just cant help but think their names should be part of a Dr. Seuss book.. Kat and Matt, I love it!)

A beautiful country cobblestone house with a long driveway lined with trees, along a road I often traveled... I always had a hunch I would shoot a wedding there. After a crazy winter I am ready to be back shooting! On a personal note.. I think I have learned more in the last 6 months than I have in my entire life! My gateway into motherhood was, well.. not all fluffy bunnies and warm blankets. (really, Lex screamed for the 1st three months!) I learned to have enormous patience, how to be really productive on very very little sleep, and that just because I am older doesn't really make me the boss! If you "close your eyes" for too long... you will miss the "good stuff " in life... because every day it's flying by so quickly. Its not the fabulous vacations, or mountains of possessions we collect,or that crazy ladder of success we are all trying to climb. Its really about the relationships we build with the people we care about. Make yourself happy with exactly what God has given you. Decide to love it.. whatever it is because it was handed to you for a reason...

Mr and Mrs. Brien are the cutest! I loved the ceremony. Everything was very natural. I have shot at Sonnenberg many many times and never noticed this big huge old tree that stood as the backdrop for the ceremony. There are lots of traditional places at Sonnenberg but they picked something slightly different and it had such a great feel...

Local Bloomfield kids...knew a lot of people there.. made it extra fun... (My Neller was in the wedding! surprise!) All around a good way to start a few months off. Everything will be back in swing January 2010! Thanks to all my great brides of 2009!

This wedding was fantastic. The details were amazing... ( little basket with flip flops so guests could kick off their shoes and relax, special kids table, and white leather sofa with ottoman at the back of the tent for people to sit and chat by the bar..)

Kate and Stevie were so relaxed and ready to enjoy the day. I had the opportunity to really run wild and do my thing. They had very few posed photos which made a lot of room for really neat creative shots that they might not have had the chance to have....Everyone was so great! I really enjoyed myself for this one.. as you can tell I had a hard time picking shots since I LOVED so many of them!

Sure! Race home change my clothes and grab my camera. City Hall is really neat inside. The Daily Record has most of its shoots downtown. I love that they are a legal paper and run "artsy" stuff. The Editor lets me "run wild" with my fish eye and allows me a lot of freedom with the shoots. I loved going to school in downtown Cincinnati but when I leave Rochester it really makes me appreciate the good ol' country. I am saddened that newspapers are struggling... I love news!

Jon and Jen are expecting a baby girl in April. They have a 6 year old little girl Madison. She is the cutest little helper. She helped straighten and move everything. Trying to beat the storm. Boots, hats, mittens, snow scrapers, waiting for your car heater to give a tiny bit of warmth. Snowy roads packed with cars. White outs. Bitter cold temperatures. Everyone knows it's just another winter day.

With a huge storm brewing outside Parkleigh has been tucked in on the corner of Park Ave. and Goodman for many years waiting for its shoppers. This cute place has the best feel ever! They even have a nice gentleman in the parking lot directing cars to "hard to find" parking spots. While you are in the store they clean the snow from your car so its ready to go. I was so amazed to see this...Its really about the little things! Its a nice little break from the outside rush because we all know, things in Rochester do not always stop because of the snow.

Last Saturday Farmington Fire Dept. had this fire expo where people could come and bring kids to see the inside of fire trucks, dress up in kid sized fire gear and spray real fire hoses, learn about fire safety, tour the firehouse and more....! The kids were having a blast. The little guy above donated part of his piggy bank to the fire department in hopes of helping them buy a new fire truck.

I am getting married! Even if I had a billion dollars to spend.. I wouldn't do it any other way... immediate family at the church and then a campfire picnic at my Mom's (well actually, Doodie style if you know her personally!) a day with lots of love, special people, close knit families, great food, campfire, good beer, and goodie bags.. Is there anything more? ahhh.... finally, ... I have come out on top! Thank you God!

Brandon and Tammy are so cute. They have had me booked for their wedding almost two years in advance! She is a planner! Everyone was from the Bloomfield area. Lots of familiar faces.. I love the hometown shoots. Her dad is a farmer in West Bloomfield and owns 600 acres. So cool. The wedding day was perfect. Sunny, warm and just beautiful. After the church we headed to the reception after driving through Honeoye Creek.. I am so lucky to be able to have such a fun job!

Jonathan's brother Matthew got married on August 23rd. The event everyone has been waiting for. I will be a bit sad that now I do not have a good excuse for going to the mall to "shop for the wedding" anymore... I was not the photographer so I had a chance to hang out and have a lots of fun. Amanda surprised everyone and sang a song to Matthew before her wedding vows.. It made almost everyone cry! We ate great food and danced all night! Oh what a grand time...

Just a bit over one now... Rory is on the go. She has mastered the crab walk and is ready for the real thing (any day now). She has two tiny little teeth for eating cheese. I wonder if she is part mouse. She is sooo much fun. She gets funnier by the day!

We went to visit Jon's 90 year old Grandma on the 4th of July. She lives in a cute little house just off the shore of Quadic lake. Her house was built in the late 1700's, first it was a tavern. She made us great homemade muffins and eggs for breakfast and baked chicken and green beans and for dinner. She is a really good cook. It was a very relaxing weekend. I really liked our whirlwind of fun. It reminds me that we should go on vacations more often.. I love adventures.

This wedding was cool! Sarah is the coolest bride. Everything was so fun. Nothing traditional. I could just run crazy and do as I want and get them the pictures I thought would be best. From the wedding we stopped in at the Cottage Hotel in Mendon then headed to this neat restaurant in Honeoye Falls.

Janice, Mike and Charlotte learned that their dog Hunter has limited time left. They wanted to include him in their family photos. I am glad I could be the one to preserve this day for them. Yeay for the photography once again!

Cute wedding at the U of R Interfaith Chapel with wonderful green trees, big buildings with pillars... and then onto a scenic golf club to finish the evening! The Jr. Groomsmen was the cutest thing ever! I just loved him. He really enjoyed the evening to the fullest. (See below with his head on his Dad's shoulder, too cute!)

Cool news shoot. Event done by the Blue Star Mother's as a fundraiser to gather money for supplies and first aid for our troops. Tons of people rode the train from Canandaigua to Clifton Springs it was fun. I love riding the train.

I am starting to believe we really have a bunny problem. They ate all of our strawberries. They are everywhere! In the evening when I water my flowers (the ones they have not had for a snack yet) they are out hopping around like they own the place. It reminds me of my favorite commercial for visa.... (with the music " love is in the air" )... the dad goes in to the pet shop to buy his little girl a bunny and pays with a check and by the time he is done with the hassle of the check.. there are so many bunnies they are spilling out the door onto the sidewalk and filling up the pet shop.. I think that might be our house here soon! ahhh...

Robin and Steve were married in April in the St. Lucia. They had a ceremony for friends and family at Whitehouse Lodge in Webster Park. The location was perfect. This was one of those warm 90 degree days. It was cool and comfortable along Lake Ontario. Perfect.

Jonathan was getting ready to go to his brothers birthday party when this caught our attention!
Our neighbors business across the street was hit by lightning and caught fire. Jonathan quickly drove to the neighbors house to alert him, then waited for the Shortsville FD. All this from the front porch.
