snow day!

A tiny bit of snow.... the best day of winter... and the Verfuss family scooped it up. Winter shoots are my favorite. I think people are hesitant because of the cold.. it may take a little more planning and a bit to layer... but the photos always turn out great! This was just a perfect shoot. This has inspired me to do "hat and mittens" mini sessions next winter.

Seeing these two littles makes me eager for my kids to be this age! It makes me see a little light at the end of the tunnel.. They are so funny together, I love how they are so giggly and squirmy at this age.. priceless.

Oh, Jen and Dave are getting married.. Oh, I can hardly wait.. These two are a photographers dream. This was all so natural for them.. as they are really so much in love... adorable dog, super cute couple in matching hoodies, warm and sunny October day.. Lovin' this live.

Meg and Jeff

This rainy September day had nothing on us! Ceremony in a big downtown church followed by reception in the country. The bridal party was a hoot. They were so much fun. Before I left the best man asked me to take a picture of him doing leap frog over the bride... so I giggled and followed him to the dance floor.. I couldn't believe what I saw.. yep, right over the top of her head! I think she was a bit surprised too. By the end of the night the groom's friends were in the pond, fully dressed in rented suits. I'd say they know how to have a good time.

a little more love...

after 16+ years of being a nanny and over 10 years of shooting weddings, kids and families.. I am stepping out of my part time world of being a nanny to care for Miss O'Mallie Mae and Sir Lexington... and to concentrate on my photography. I have been asked in the past for references and on occasion people are nervous about what they will get. (some being out of town brides and never meeting me before the wedding day.) .. I think this note below says it all.. Thanks Jen and Mike. It was my pleasure.

The Barone's

This rainy day spoiled nothing, with a little hustle.....myself, the florist and the girls with all occasions catering washed and moved chairs, set up a ceremony site under the veranda. All our hard teamwork paid off. It was a spectacular wedding at Sonnenberg once again. It was so much fun running around getting everything in order. All occasions catering really has the best food ever. It is so tasty and one of my favorites by far! Jen and Mike are the nicest people you will ever meet. So sweet and so sincere. Loved this one.
